Project Highlight: Addison Business Park

News Addison Business Park

Kent Companies delivered the commercial concrete package for Addison Business Park, a two-building commercial complex centrally located near the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. The site includes 390 parking spots and move-in ready office space for businesses looking for a fresh and modern workplace.

Kent Companies’ scope of work included:

  • 110 cased foundation pier shafts
  • 121,800 SF slab on grade
  • 87 tilt-wall panels totaling 56,000 SF
  • 209,000 SF of concrete site paving

Our market leadership and successful project history in Dallas-Fort Worth sparked our initial relationship with the nationwide general contractor ARCO/Murray. Both companies recently expanded into Central Texas to meet market demand for commercial and mixed-use space in Austin and surrounding communities.

The Kent Companies project management team proactively scheduled all concrete pours between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to meet city zoning requirements. Our team coordinated half-size pours throughout the duration of the project to ensure efficient use of manpower and materials.

During the pier drilling phase, unexpected ground water posed challenges to production and the overall project timeline. Kent Companies worked collaboratively with ARCO/Murray and other trades to coordinate the crane schedule and availability of required materials. Battling scope changes and weather, our team moved quickly to avoid delays and ensure the crews had the right equipment to get the job done.

Kent Companies met all scheduled milestones for ARCO/Murray.
