This project goes beyond the build. The Pearl District in San Antonio has a long history of ingenuity and determination, and our commercial concrete teams get to play a role in that history through the construction of the Perlen House hotel.
History of Pearl District
The Pearl district started as a brewery in 1883. It adapted to survive through the ups and downs of the 20th century until closing in 2001. Afterwards, the 22-acre site was transformed into the iconic mixed-use development in San Antonio for which it is known today. The neighborhood hosts a variety of shops and restaurants that draw tourists to the area and create a thriving community for locals.
Supporting Growth in San Antonio
The next step in the Pearl District development is the construction of a 9 story, 166 room midrise hotel – The Perlen House. And Kent Concrete is driving the progress.
