Three schools in downtown Dallas are uniting under one roof, and Kent is bringing the horsepower to make it happen. The Dallas Independent School District is combining Downtown Montessori Academy, CityLab High School, and the Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship Academy (IDEA) into one 142,000 SF, three-story campus for pre-k through high school education.
“Historic projects like these are some of my favorites,” says Structural General Manager Cory Van Haveren. “It’s the kind of project that guys point at for years and say, ‘I got to build that.’ Our whole crew is proud to play a part in making our community better, and it really shows in the quality of our work.”
This Spring, we’re placing the crawlspace, then quickly going vertical to deliver five free-standing core walls and a CIP storm shelter.
If you’re looking for a partner for your next structural project, we’re ready to deliver.
