Project Highlight: Millenium Crest – Denton, TX

Adaptability is one of the most valuable qualities a concrete contractor can bring to a project. Schedules change, site conditions evolve, and successful projects depend on partners who can adjust without losing momentum. That mindset was on full display at Millenium Crest.

Kent Concrete is delivering 120,000 SF of slab on grade and 100,200SF of garage deck for this five-story multifamily development in Denton, TX.

During construction, changing site conditions temporality limited access to portions of the project. “We had to take it day by day,” explained Project Manager Michael Tally. “There were a lot of discussions to determine when we could get onsite, and what it would look like when we could.”

Rather than waiting for the entire site to open, our team coordinated with the project’s partners to adjust the construction sequence. Our team shifted focus to paving and slab on grade operations first, allowing work to continue and even accelerate in those areas while other portions of the site were prepared.

This flexibility created other opportunities to solve problems later in the project. Completing portions of the work early reduced the available laydown space needed for garage deck materials. To keep production moving efficiently, Kent coordinated closely with suppliers to schedule smaller, more frequent deliveries, maintaining only about a week’s worth of rebar and formwork onsite at all times. The result was a streamlined material management strategy that maximized the available space while keeping crews productive.

“I’m proud of how our crews handled every situation that this project threw at us. It wasn’t easy, but Kent doesn’t back down from a challenge,” said Tally.

From multifamily concrete construction to commercial and mission critical projects across the country, Kent Concrete helps owners and general contractors solve problems before they become delays. Looking for a concrete partner that adapts when the job demands it? Let’s build together.
