Kent Employee Safety Recognition: Celebrating the People Who Protect Our Crews

When you have as many people in the field as Kent does, safety must lead. It’s the only way we maintain the level of productivity our customers expect from us.

From McKinney to Waco, our crews show up ready to perform. That performance starts with safety, and our North Texas team continues to prove what strong safety culture looks like in action. Great safety leadership is hard to miss and recognizing it is how you build a program that actually works in the jobsite.

General contractor partners recently recognized Carlos Gurrola and Sergio Dominguez for going above and beyond, leading by example, and setting the tone for jobsite safety. Internally, Gonzalo Castillo, Guadalipe Rodriguez, and Eduardo Avalos were recognized during a superintendent meeting for upholding the Kent safety standard through detailed job hazard analysis, clear team communication, and disciplined jobsite housekeeping that prevents incidents before they happen.

“Safety can’t be just one person,” explains Senior Safety Manager German Camberos. “When we recognize people fully committed to protecting their crews, it builds a culture where teams look out for each other and push each other to be safer every day.”

That commitment also shows up in how we invest in training. Senior Safety Coordinator Juan Miranda recently earned his Safety Trained Supervisor Construction certification through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals, strengthening his ability to lead safety efforts directly in the field.

At Kent, safety defines how we show up. It protects our people, keeps projects moving, and allows us to deliver at the pace we’re known for. That’s how momentum is built, and how it’s sustained.

Want to work with a team that treats safety as the foundation of performance? Let’s talk.
